- 1. Check out the Property online you are going to shoot at. Check other films that have been shot here earlier. This will give you a better idea about the space you are going to deal with.
- 2. Reach a day before if you can, shoot Time-Lapse and other B-Rolls!
- 3. Always carry a Lense – Bag. Keep all of your most needed stuffs into it, this will save your time and mind too
- 4. Audio is a third dimension in a video.Use shot gun mic during Haldi – Mahendi ceremony. During sangeet you should attach Zoom H1/H4 with DJ. This will give you a clearer audio.
- 5. Do shoot wide and close - up both. This will give you more options while editing. Showing wide and close up shots make your video more eye-catchy.
- 6. Establishing shots(Opening shot) can give a good start to a film. It can be a drone shot or a camera shot. It can be a hotel property shot or may be birds flying in the sky or may be a person doing decoration of a mandap.
- 7. Don’t give unnecessary motion to your videos. Use Gimbal – Slider only if required.
- 8. Try to build a story. Take the interviews of bride and groom/ Family and Friends. Ask for the funny stuffs bride/groom were used to do when they were young. Hope you will get some really good MASALA next time!
